Diving in Cozumel

Description:
The Cozumel Island: Cuzamil, as the ancient Mayans called it, means The Island of Swallows. It is surrounded by a beautiful deep blue ocean. A large part of the second largest coral reef barrier in the planet can be found there. Cozumel is located in front of Playa del Carmen, 35 minutes away by ferry. A series of conveniences can be found in the island: international banks, taxi service, and an airport are among them. Large cruise liners arrive there from all over the world. You can choose to stay in Cozumel or just to visit it. You can go shopping for souvenirs, perfumes and fine jewelry in some of the most exclusive world-class fashion shops. You can visit the museum and the San Gervasio ruins, a place that in ancient times was a very important political and commercial Mayan center. And of course, you can choose to dive, and dive and dive!
It is an incomparable paradise of beauty for the treasures it keeps under the ocean: spectacular coral formations and colorful fishes that were filmed for the first time by Jacques Cousteau. Its beautiful sponges bigger than you and I, orange, violet, brown and yellow are unique. And if you are lucky, you may be able to see the endemic tout fish that rests under the coral, or to admire how the garden eel dances to slowly disappear under the sand, while you approach them.
Cozumel is famous for its impressive coral reef walls, covered by a large variety of hard and soft coral, where you can enjoy observing beautiful natural coral gardens surrounded by colorful fishes that give life and color to all those underwater gardens that lay there. Visibility here is incredibly clear. It's the perfect frame for an excellent picture of you in your multilevel dive by the coral wall.
